Program Overview
The Personal Support Worker (PSW) program will prepare you with the knowledge and skills to provide compassionate care to individuals with broad-spectrum conditions by assisting them with their activities of daily living, including clients experiencing cognitive impairment, physical disability, and mental health challenges.
With your help, these individuals will be able to lead fulfilling and active lives. During the PSW program, students will participate in supervised practices, in both community settings and nursing homes.
The hands-on approach provides students with an opportunity to practice their new skills in a professional setting, gain experience while practicing effective communication and collaboration. Student clinical placements are arranged and scheduled by the school.
